Of all the things I’ve read and learnt this last 100 days, I think the biggest one is that we can’t do it alone. Maybe we can be alone and be brave some of the time… I think there might always be times when we’re scared to be brave or too tired to be brave or too overwhelmed to be brave and we need someone to cheer us on.
Sometimes we will be the brave cheerleader. I do believe we need each other, we need community, we need people to look out for and people to look out for us. Just as we are made for a purpose so we are also not made to be in isolation, but as part of the body of Christ. It takes a bravery of its own to commit to others but it’s how we’re made to do life. One time I encourage you, another time you encourage me. We grow together. We live out God’s purposes together. We’re brave together.
Don’t try to be brave alone. And don’t let someone else try to be brave alone either.
