Day 36 – Work In Pieces

Annie F. downs invites us today to start where we are. She writes, “So what should you do today? Do what’s right in front of you.“

Maybe it’s something you do everyday: choose to do it with excellence and love and joy. Maybe it’s something you’re learning: choose to do it with passion and intention. Maybe it’s something you’re stepping out into: choose to do it with perseverance and authenticity.

Whatever it is, Downs reminds us we need courage. Whether it’s something we’ve done a thousand times before or something completely new, we need our brave to step and step and step again.

Keep looking at the things you’re good at. Keep looking for the people and activities that enter into your day. Do the things well.

Your calling may be hidden in plain sight!

  1. I read a book by Chrystal Evans Hurst and she talked of following the bread crumbs. Do one step that will lead you closer to where you want to be. She says sometimes the thing you are looking for is AN answer not THE answer. You might not go right into what you are expecting but there is an answer that will get you closer.

    1. That’s a great way to think of it. I love how this fits with what we reading and talking about!
