When I get a thought I write it down. If I don’t write it down, I normally forget what the thought was. Sometimes I get longer thoughts so I write longer notes.
I’ve amassed a lot of notebooks and loose pages over the years. Every so often I would have a purge and ditch a whole bunch (often by burning them to destroy any chance of future embarrassment) but mostly I keep them ‘safe’ on a shelf or in a drawer. In the last few years, I’ve started sharing some of my stuff and got braver, but I’m still not very brave yet.
If you would like to read the story of what made me choose now to start sharing you can do so here.
Thoughts I share here are mainly to do with my life and my faith. I haven’t always integrated my life and faith as it seemed a lot more convenient to keep them separate. From time to time I might try, and perhaps do it badly, but, I think I’ve improved… maybe… I hope so. I can’t imagine being a mother, or a wife, or a colleague, or a friend without my faith to encourage me and guide me and strengthen me. And lately, I’ve come to realise that my faith is pointless if it’s not doing something.
So here’s my something.
P.S. If you’re here looking for the dialogues between me and my family… they’ll be here too, don’t worry (Scenes & Stories)
